AFamosa Doggie Get Together Day 2010

This is an annual event organise by Puppy.com & AFamosa Resort (Melaka). Puppies get a chance to be holiday with the owner's friends and family. To those who are interested, i had prepared you with some of the basic information as below.

Doggie Games and Socializing Session at the field in the vicinity of the Condo Area. Up to 6 doggie fun games will be organized with all the prizes and trophies to be sponsored by A'Famosa. There will also be several lucky draws on that day that include free Bungalow Stay which will be sponsored by A'Famosa as well.

The Bungalow has four bedrooms and all are equipped with at least a queen size bed and can accommodate up to 8 peoples per Bungalow. All bungalow come with a swimming pool (for human only).

Furry Friends Farm, located in Kundang, Selangor, is an animal sanctuary for rescued stray dogs, puppies, cats and kittens and other companion (pet) animals that are abandoned, neglected or abused by irresponsible owners. It is run and managed by volunteer rescuers with the objective of creating a more compassionate and humane society towards animals.

The farm provides a secured shelter for abused and abandoned stray animals rescued in the state of Selangor. It is also a place to house and rehabilitate cats and dogs physically and psychologically. They are given a second chance to live the rest of their lives in peace and dignity.

Animals that are not successfully re-homed, will have a place permanently at the sanctuary. All rescued stray dogs/cats will be given immediate medical attention, vaccinated, de-wormed, with heartworm prevention and neutered/spayed.

Choosing the right food for your puppy

Every puppy deserves a good quality meal. Some of the times, the puppy food choice offered by Pet shop when we first got the puppy might not be the best choice after all. They will convince you that cannot pamper your puppy. I believe is half true. Puppy got the rights to choose the food that they like.

I never switch puppy food until she finished the 2 big packs of the pet food. Firstly I feed her with NutriEdge (salmon). She only eat it when she really hungry. We thought is best not to pamper her. Ended up, she only waited for snack and that will be her main food.

I had been switching many brands of pet food, puppy always like to fast. Her highest record is to stop eating for 1 1/2 days. I din notice she is so skinny because i only got one puppy. her to grooming I noticed she is relatively skinnier than other same breed puppy during my visit to the grooming saloon.

I began to start buy different kinds of pet food such as including the wet canned food. It seems that she loves the canned food a lot. Besides, i also offered her Go Natural (sensitive). She seems to like it a lot. I am going to supply her with more "Go Natural" pet food. I think this is a new brand and normally comes in small packaging. I don’t mind of the packaging as it’s offered fresh content.
